I've received a handful of nicely worded complaints that

weekend, and some people who tried to take advantage of my
guilt via the "Chris Feels Guilty!" sale were unable to do so.

Suckers! There never WAS any sale!!

Heh heh. Just kidding.

For the first time in its 50-year broadcast history, the
Miss America pageant is without a TV home. ABC, after
seven years, decided not to renew its contract, due to
flagging viewership and lack of interest from advertisers.

The idea that Americans prize a woman's ability to accentuate clothing as a prime virtue worthy of nigh-royalty offends me beyond words. That, and the show runs opposite "America's Top Model."
Fifty years on TV and not one of them has ended hunger or created world peace *yet*.
Modern society's need for strong, competitive women has been addressed wholly by WWE.
The recent election campaign sated our desire to hear actress/models making ridiculous statements on subjects they know nothing about.

Masturbating to a woman who is trying to make something of herself and achieve world peace just seems dirtier all of a sudden.
