annual summer hiatus. That's shorthand, of course,
for "hanging out by the city pool in Bermuda shorts
and sandals with black socks, eating Red Vines."

Patching up things with our lovers (more specifically, repairing the leaks in our inflate-a-dolls).
Beginning rehearsals for: "TopFive presents: A Million Little Pieces, the Musical!"
Go to Camp Toppafiva; earn merit badges in Obviousness and Derivativeness, avoid overly-friendly counselors, cry till Mommy picks us up.
Upgrading to Windows 98.
Checking if any new family members have arrived since last summer.
Despite the hot-and-cold running groupies and limitless meth, after six months of traveling with the TopFive Contributors' Make-A-List FUN-dation's limousine caravan it sure will be good to be back with Ma and our own sofa beds.
Appointing an emergency back-pimple extraction team consisting of Captain Thumbnail and Lieutenant Butter Knife.
Accompanying Chris on the annual fly-fishing expedition to Brokeback Mountain.
Weeping silently into a glass of merlot over the futility of existential self-determination in a post-modern world. Then cruising for hookers who will dress up like Ethel Mertz.
