Barry Curtis of The Kingsmen
|
|
Barry Curtis (in the middle, wearing a hat) was born in Yakima, WA and in 1963
became the keyboard player for The Kingsmen because, in Barry's words,
"Career day in high school didn't cover rock&roll."
The Kingsmen struck gold with their monster 60's hit, Louie, Louie, which
was featured in the 1978 movie, National Lampoon’s Animal House, and is
universally recognized as the greatest party song on this or any other planet.
Barry has been a resident of Seattle for 30 years, where he has witnessed with
amusement the cycle of garage rock to grunge. Over the years, he has became a
"pretty good" guitar player, a project he says is still a work in progress.
