Badfinger guitarist Joey Molland was born in Liverpool, England in 1948.
In 1969, he joined Badfinger just in time to help them
achieve world-wide acclaim and make some FM radio music
that still holds up nearly three decades later.
The most successful of the bands signed to The Beatles' Apple Records
label, Badfinger recorded several hit albums between 1970-1974, before
financial difficulties led to their breakup. Their hit singles like
"No Matter What," "Come and Get It," "Day After Day," "Baby Blue"
and "Without You" are considered to be some of the finest power pop ever
recorded, and the band continues to be an influence on the current
generation of rockers.
Joey Molland has since maintained a solo career, and still works
with a touring version of Badfinger. His solo albums include
"After the Pearl," "The Pilgrim" and "Basil",
and he has a new album due out shortly, on which you find more info from
Joey's official website, www.joeymolland.com.
