Dan Weckerly
says, "I can take no credit on my own for my TopFive submissions.
From the beginning, I've merely been the messenger." The true comic
genius in the family, according to Dan, is his black Labrador Retriever,
Wesley, who, it has been determined, is channeling the spirit of comic
headliner Henny Youngman. "I read him the topics, he tells me what to
write, and the guffaws ensue. It's *Wesley* you want in the Hall of Fame,
not me," Dan explains. Wesley also handles the weekly editing jobs for the
Li'l Fiver Parenting List, whose accolades have also been incorrectly
attributed to Dan.
Dan and his wife and three daughters (and aforementioned dog) live in a
suburb of Philadelphia, PA. He works as a communications manager for a
health insurance company ("...only a notch above gun manufacturers, and
two notches above the tobacco industry," he crows). Dan's other claim to
fames include an appearance on ABC's Who Wants to Be a Millionaire,
where his segment was deleted when he inadvertently knocked out Regis'
dentures ("They *told* us to be animated, damnit!"). Further, he carries
the distinction of being the last person alive to be able to sing, from
memory, the theme song to the sit-com Nanny and the Professor.
